The Spirit of the Lord is upon me and has anointed me to
Preach the good news to the poor. .
Bind up the brokenhearted,
Proclaim freedom for the captives,
Proclaim release from darkness for the prisoners,
Comfort all who mourn
Provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow on them
BEAUTY FOR ASHES
The oil of gladness for mourning
And a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness

Pondering

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." (1 Corinthians 13:12) KJV

"But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart" (Luke 2:19).

I'm in pondering mode. God is doing awesome things!!!

    I've always thought the role of women has been greatly diminished in the modern church.

    This and other scriptures have always made me wonder just how strong women truly were in the early formative years of Christianity.

    Look in the bible how many times women corrected the errors of the men in charge?

    Even as far back as the days of judges...
