Pastor Phylis invites you on a journey to turn those dark places into a time to find intimacy with God, tough times into a demonstration of God's power, and our messes into a basis for ministry.

ISAIAH 61:1-4
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me and has anointed me to
Preach the good news to the poor. .
Bind up the brokenhearted,
Proclaim freedom for the captives,
Proclaim release from darkness for the prisoners,
Comfort all who mourn
Provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow on them
BEAUTY FOR ASHES
The oil of gladness for mourning
And a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness

I love the photos of las cruces. In that first one, I thought you had a drum around your neck and wondered if you were the drummer. But then I realize it is just a mike stand.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who just moved to a community outside of Las Cruces, but I've not been there myself ... yet. Looks like you had fun indeed! Thanks for sharing ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
There are so many cool communities in the desert and the surrounding mountains. Some of them are quite artsy, others just rural. Nice place to be -- the High Desert (Elevation is almost 5,000 feet in Las Cruces. More in some surrounding communities.)
ReplyDeleteTruth, that would be funny me with a Conga? Bongo? drum on my shoulders. We couldn't find music stands. Our drummer played the accoustic drums so we used those pretty red drums for music stands. And the mike stand does look like straps on my shoulder!!!
